+The Macabre Hunt+ is a hunt for those of the disturbed, dark and twisted view on things. So much of the hunts cater to the children, the light and fluffy and the valley girls and boys of Second Life. Here is a hunt that delves into the dark and the twisted. A Hunt for those whom society fears and in all means, creeped the hell out of.

I, Liliane Despres, for this lovely hunt is your adoring Queen of the Macabre.

This hunt will only have the best. This will NOT be a "junk hunt" as so many seem to lead to. This hunt is also limited to only 100 stores. No more. Come, join us for tea.

Circus!!! Freaks and Geeks and things to wow the small mortal mind.... This should be interesting to see whas delicious things my little morbid darlings come up with!!! A treat for sure! Will it be Freaks? Demented Ringleaders? Demonic pets!? Who knows!

Hunt Requirements for Vendors:
* You MUST have an item for men AND Women. Many hunts cater to just one or the other. This hunt is equal. You must have something for the men as well as women or Unisexed (and not that silly excuse of feminine male unisex). Reason for this, many men are on these hunts and most have to rid themselves of 80% of the hunt items because it is for females.

*Must stay within the Theme that is presented. Meaning, you can't just make any old silly dark thing last minute and call it good. How silly and boring. This Year's Hunt theme is: Cirque Du Diabolique

*Willingness to put effort into your hunt item. Anyone can slap something together. Put some love and care into your items.

*Keep it exclusive during the hunt. Keep your product exclusive and only available for the hunters during the length of the hunt. Afterwards, feel free to sell it, if you wish.

*Hide it.. It is a "Hunt" afterall. Many vendors in several hunts just toss the item out in the open for hunters to tp in and leave. No fun! Actually hide the item! Theme: "Inside Pandora's Box"

Start: May 12th
End: June 4th

Applications end: April 30th

Pandora's box is an artifact in Greek mythology, taken from the myth of Pandora's creation around line 60 of Hesiod's Works and Days. The "box" was actually a large jar given to Pandora ("all-gifted"), which contained all the evils of the world. When Pandora opened the jar, the entire contents of the jar were released, but for one – hope.

This is a very open for interpretation theme this time around! And We're excited to see if the creative juices flow!

Hunt Theme: "Death of Davy Jones"

This is a Dead Pirate themed hunt this Round! All items will be themed around the dead, the drowning, the rotting unfortunates that took to the highseas! Including the ghastly monsters that could have brought it on. Like Mermaids and Sirens.

**WARNING** ANYTHING PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC EJECTION FROM THE HUNT!

So PLEASE do not some into the hunt expecting to see Johnny Depp look alikes. No.

It's Spring time... for the Macabre

It's that time again. Time for us demented little people to pop out of the daisies like the bloody, death loving weeds we are! ..::Rasetsukoku::.. is hosting +The Macabre Hunt+ again! This time the theme is, The Literary Works of Edgar Allen Poe.
The hunt will take place May 13th and end June 3rd.

Applications will only be taken til March 30th. After that, no more.

+The Macabre Hunt+ is a hunt for those of the disturbed, dark and twisted view on things. So much of the hunts cater to the children, the light and fluffy and the valley girls and boys of Second Life. Here is a hunt that delves into the dark and the twisted. A Hunt for those whom society fears and in all means, creeped the hell out of.

This hunt will only have the best. This will NOT be a "junk hunt" as so many seem to lead to. This hunt is also limited to only 100 stores. No more. No Less. Come, join us for tea.

Hunt Requirements for Vendors:
* You MUST have an item for men AND Women. Many hunts cater to just one or the other. This hunt is equal. You must have something for the men as well as women or Unisexed (and not that silly excuse of feminine male unisex). Reason for this, many men are on these hunts and most have to rid themselves of 80% of the hunt items because it is for females.

*Must stay within the Theme that is presented. Meaning, you can't just make any old silly dark thing last minute and call it good. How silly and boring. This Year's Hunt theme is: The Literary Work of Edgar Allen Poe
The Theme in detail: Choose from any of Edgar Allen Poe's works to make a morbid item from. Please make it dark, bloody, creepy... Macabre!

*Willingness to put effort into your hunt item. Anyone can slap something together. Put some love and care into your items.

*Keep it exclusive during the hunt. Keep your product exclusive and only available for the hunters during the length of the hunt. Afterward, feel free to sell it, if you wish.

*Hide it.. It is a "Hunt" after all. Many vendors in several hunts just toss the item out in the open for hunters to tp in and leave. No fun! Actually hide the item! Preferably keep it within 30 meters of your hunt sign.

*MUST have your Hunt sign up. No hunt sign, You are booted from the Hunt.

*NO MALL SPOTS!!! Absolutely not! If your store is a tiny hole in the wall, then no. If you want to do it in a CLUB. NO. NO NO NO. MAINSTORES only. Thank you.

Round 1: Twisted Tales

I, The Queen of the Macabre, Liliane Despres, Welcome you to my twisted warped hunt. I sought out some of SecondLife's twisted and macabre brains to take fairytales (or stories) of their choice and make it demented(er).

This is not a HUGE hunt, But a very high quality one.
There are RULES for this hunt.

1.) DO NOT IM the STORE OWNER'S FOR LOCATIONS!!! We have hints for you to find them.
2.) DO NOT POST DIRECT LOCATIONS (LANDMARKS OR SLURLS) to hunt items! This includes to various blogs and what not.
3.) DO NOT SHOUT LOCATION OF OBJECTS IN ANY STORE! That's just rude!
4.) USE THE HUNTER'S GROUP! It's open enrollment!!!
5.) GESTUREBATNG. KEEP IT AT A ALL TME LOW!
6.) DUN RANT IF IT TAKES AWHILE FOR THINGS TO LOAD. Lower your ARC then...

Oie! Updating blog as well as the inworld work on a hunt gets tiring!
Sorry for the lack of updates!! But I've been busy organizing the hunt. I apleased to say we have closed applications at 76 stores. Because well, i'm picky. *giggles* So those that have been approved, know that out of hundreds, you were chosen, Let's make this hunt awesome.

I am promising some of SecondLife's most disturbed creators are willing to give you all a taste of their world in this hunt. Perhaps you'll hunger for more?

Over the next few weeks I will be working dililgently to update the links as well as add more posts so you fine folks know who is in the hunt!

Hello everyone!

I am glad to say this hunt is starting off on the right foot! We got alot of good stores and many twisted ideas i just cant wait to see! I am hoping to do alot of things with this hunt.

Soon I will be interviewing some stores that have been accepted and have their stuff done so we can do a little.. showcase to say.. I am just excited!

But... saddly... some people may not be happy with me cause I've denied a few stores entry into the hunt. this is going to happen. This is to be a hunt for the best of the best and the...disturbed. *grins*

Some have been denied mainly cause I and the Macabre staff didnt feel they were up to par for the expectations of this hunt. I dont know what else to really say you know? But Lets all have a blast with this hunt none the less!

The Theme in detail: Any Fairytale.. and put a dark and disturbing touch to it. Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Hansel and Gretel, Snow white and the Seven Dwarves. Many possible stories to choose! Even look into foreign ones. Grimm's Fairy tales will probably be the best for inspiration.
